One ring with a princess cut stone, $211 to $312. A princess cut is square with sharp corners, cut to throw light straight back at you rather than spread it sideways. It was designed in the 1960s to get more brilliance out of a square outline than a step cut manages, and it is still the squarest shape that behaves like a brilliant.
The corners are the weak point. Left bare they chip, so a princess wants either V-prongs that cap each corner or a bezel that covers them. The setting here does that.
This collection is small on purpose — we list a princess when we have one, and the group will grow as more designs come off the bench. If you want a princess stone in a setting that currently shows another shape, write to us; most of our mounts can be cut for it and we will quote before starting.
