Five rings with an emerald cut stone, $187 to $374. An emerald cut is a rectangle with the corners taken off, cut in steps rather than facets. The shape came from cutting real emeralds, which crack easily at the corners — removing them protects the stone.
It asks two things of the setting: the stone has to be clean, because a step cut hides nothing, and the mount has to be square to the band, because any twist is obvious against those straight edges. The settings here are mostly deco — stepped shoulders, milgrain bezels, side stones in kite or baguette shapes that continue the geometry.
Stone sizes run from about 5 by 3 mm to 6 by 4 mm, listed on each product page along with band width and thickness. Both east-west and lengthwise orientations are in the group.
