Ring Size Guide
Every ring is made to order in the size you choose, so the size matters more here than it does on a shelf. This page has two ways to measure at home and the full conversion table. If you land between two sizes, tell us and we will talk it through before we start cutting.
Measure a ring you already wear
This is the more reliable of the two methods. Take a ring that fits the finger you have in mind and measure the inside diameter across the widest point with a ruler that has millimetres on it. Match that number to the inside diameter column in the table below.
Measure the inside edge to inside edge, not the outside of the band. A 1 mm error at this step is roughly half a ring size.
Measure the finger
Cut a strip of paper about 5 mm wide, or use a length of string. Wrap it around the base of the finger, snug but not tight, mark where it overlaps, then lay it flat and measure to the mark in millimetres. That figure is the inside circumference — the second column in the table.
Do this at the end of the day when the hand is at its largest, and not straight after exercise or a cold walk. Fingers change size through the day by up to half a size.
Two things that change the answer
- Wide bands run tight. Anything over about 4 mm wide takes up more of the finger. On a wide band go a quarter size up.
- A large knuckle wins. The ring has to pass the knuckle, so measure there too and take the larger of the two readings. If the gap is more than a full size, write to us — that is a fit problem we can design around.
What we make
We cut US sizes 3 through 10 1/2 as standard, in quarter steps. That covers the great majority of hands. Outside that range is not a problem, it is just not on the dropdown — write to us with the size and we will quote it.

If the fit is wrong when it arrives
Resizing is free, and we cover the shipping in both directions. Write to us with your order number and the size you want instead. Most pieces can be resized; a few, like full eternity bands and some deco settings, are cleaner to remake — either way it costs you nothing.
