Jewelry Care
Daily Wear
Solid gold is durable, but it isn't indestructible. Take your pieces off before swimming, showering, exercising, sleeping, or doing housework — chlorine, salt water, sweat, and cleaning products all take a toll over time.
Cleaning at Home
Warm water, a drop of mild soap, and a soft cloth or baby toothbrush is all you need. Rinse well and dry completely before storing. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and anything abrasive — they can loosen stones over time.
Chemicals to Avoid
Perfume, lotion, hairspray, and household cleaners can dull the finish and, over years, weaken settings. The simplest rule: jewelry goes on last, comes off first.
Storage
Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined box — gold is soft enough to scratch itself if pieces rub together in a drawer.
Regular Checks
Take a look at your prongs and settings every few months, especially on pieces you wear daily. Loose stones and thinning prongs are easier to fix before a stone is lost. If something looks off, see our warranty page — a defect from our bench is covered.
Professional Care
If a piece needs more than a home clean — a re-polish, a deep clean, a prong check by hand — write to us with your order number and we'll advise on next steps.
