Two rings for July, $202 to $512. The July birthstone is ruby. Both rings here are set with AAA grade cubic zirconia in ruby red — the colour, not the stone.
Red is the colour where grade shows most. A cheap red stone goes orange under warm light and pink under cold; a well-cut one holds the same red across both. These are colour-matched batch to batch for that reason.
Both pieces are oval stones in period settings — one art deco with stepped shoulders, one vintage with a raised gallery and milgrain edges. Stone sizes and band measurements are listed in millimetres on each product page.
Natural ruby is one of the hardest gemstones and wears extremely well, but it prices well above these rings. If you want one set in the same mount, write to us with the piece and your size and we will quote it before anything is cut.
